Running 100 miles in July | Week 1

I am running 100 miles all over again for the month of July! I had another cycling adventure this week, which was a blast. Check out how week 1 went, and how I’m trying to stay on track with my mileage for this month.

100 miles of June wrap up!

I wrapped up my 100 miles of June challenge, and guess what, I made my goal! It was not an easy task at all considering I lost 6 days after falling and hurting myself during week 1. Check out how I reached my goal, and my running challenge plans for the month of July.

I’ve achieved my goal!

I did it! I ran 100 miles in June, and it was not easy! I’ll leave the full story for my video recap, but this last 5k gives me 100.1 miles. I’m ecstatic!

Trying to beat the rain makes you run faster!

After consecutive days of running in the blaring sun, I decided to try out evening running again. I probably should have checked the weather forecast before heading out because as soon as I got into my car it started raining!

I decided to head to the track anyway because it would probably only be a quick summer shower, and I was right. I ran in maybe 10 minutes of light showers, and at the end there was a beautiful rainbow.

My attempting to beat the rain made my run/walk a bit faster today, and pushing myself was exactly what I needed because I’ve really been taking it easy all month.

I’m nearly finished my 100 miles of June, only 3 miles to go!

Sunday Runday was a scorcher!

My plan today was to knock out 8 miles so that I’d only have another 8 miles to round out 100 for the month. Well that didn’t happen because it was hot as hades out!

I dialed back the pace, and completed my minimum 10k without passing out from the heat. It was slower but it got done! 10 miles and 2 days left to reach 100 miles of June!
