The rain couldn’t keep me away!

The rain couldn’t keep me away!

I went out at 11 to run and it started raining. I decided to make a Target run, came out and it was pouring! So home I went to wait it out. I did some work I finally went back out around 3. 72 degrees and cool at 11 turned into 81 and humid at 3. I was totally overdressed, but it got done!

Shimmy for another 6.2 added to the 💯

Saturday’s are made for running!

Saturday’s are made for running!

With 3 running days left in June, I am 16 miles away from hitting 100 miles. So the question is, should I do 2 days of 8 miles and have an off day, or 3 days of 6 and have a little overage. ?

LONDON MARATHON TRAINING Week 7 | RUNNING 10 MILES on the TRACK | GLOSSIER NYC | YOGA FOR RUNNERS

Week 7 of marathon training…..better late than never! Yes I’ll be posting week 8 tomorrow, so this blog is late AF, but better late than never!

This week I feel like I am getting my groove back! I had a nice relaxing run on the track with some unusually warm New York City weather. Switched over to my girlie side and picked up some cosmetics, fell more in love with Yoga, and of course I put some time in with my run crew. Looking forward to maintaining this groove in week 8! LONDON MARATHON TRAINING Week 6 | Visiting the KOBE BRYANT MEMORIAL | RUNNING BROOKLYN | TEMPO RUN

Week 6 of marathon training was a goodie. Particularly because I did a running tour through Brooklyn with my running group for Black History Month-Day-Year. That’s right, it’s not just a single month for us, it’s our life!

Running through Fort Greene Park, seeing Spike Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, great African American Museums, churches, the Barclay Center, and the Kobe Bryant Memorial which was so beautiful and sad to see at the same time. Growing up in the Bronx, all I knew was Harlem, and my family in Queens, so Brooklyn was never on my radar. It’s amazing to see all of the history it beholds.
