Week 3: Running 100 miles in June

Week 3 of my 100 miles of June challenge is wrapped, and I actually stayed on task this week and did 5 runs!! That’s a gold medal world record for me because I don’t know when the last time was that I ran 5 days in one week. Anywho, this challenge has really gotten me back into running which I think we all fall out of love with here and there. Looking forward to hitting those ?miles next week!

Week 2: Running 100 miles in June

A lot has gone on in the last 2 weeks. I had a wicked fall on June 2nd and had to take 6 days off from running to recover. So essentially week 1 of June was a complete wash. I came back for week 2 and have been taking it pretty easy. Basically doing a run/walk for every run while I continue to heal. Week 2 was actually great. I’m starting to get back in the grove, I’m back on the track which is great, and I’m just falling in love with running again. Since Covid-19 hit us like a ton of bricks, my running totally fell off. In March I had 22.6 miles, April was a dismal 9.6 miles, in May I had a slight comeback at 39.3 miles, and for June I’m setting the bar high with a goal of 100 miles. Today is day 1 of my quest do increase my mileage, and loose a couple of pounds while I’m at it. 

So today’s stats 4.5 miles, and 158 lbs. ?

This week wasn’t the best training wise, and that is bound to happen over a 16 week training cycle. Due to pretty cold temps in New York, I was forced to hit the treadmill, or what runners like to call it, the dreadmill! Check out what I’m up to at the halfway mark of London Marathon training!

Week 7 of marathon training…..better late than never! Yes I’ll be posting week 8 tomorrow, so this blog is late AF, but better late than never!

This week I feel like I am getting my groove back! I had a nice relaxing run on the track with some unusually warm New York City weather. Switched over to my girlie side and picked up some cosmetics, fell more in love with Yoga, and of course I put some time in with my run crew. Looking forward to maintaining this groove in week 8!
