I’ve achieved my goal!
I did it! I ran 100 miles in June, and it was not easy! I’ll leave the full story for my video recap, but this last 5k gives me 100.1 miles. I’m ecstatic!

After consecutive days of running in the blaring sun, I decided to try out evening running again. I probably should have checked the weather forecast before heading out because as soon as I got into my car it started raining!
I decided to head to the track anyway because it would probably only be a quick summer shower, and I was right. I ran in maybe 10 minutes of light showers, and at the end there was a beautiful rainbow.
My attempting to beat the rain made my run/walk a bit faster today, and pushing myself was exactly what I needed because I’ve really been taking it easy all month.
I’m nearly finished my 100 miles of June, only 3 miles to go!
My plan today was to knock out 8 miles so that I’d only have another 8 miles to round out 100 for the month. Well that didn’t happen because it was hot as hades out!
I dialed back the pace, and completed my minimum 10k without passing out from the heat. It was slower but it got done! 10 miles and 2 days left to reach 100 miles of June!
With 3 running days left in June, I am 16 miles away from hitting 100 miles. So the question is, should I do 2 days of 8 miles and have an off day, or 3 days of 6 and have a little overage. ?
Today was actually a pretty good running day despite not being able to use the track because they were holding a high school graduation.
I’ve been sticking with my 3:1 run:walk and I can feel myself getting stronger. Thinking I’ll increase my run portion to 4 or 5 next month.
Anywho, 23 miles left to reach my goal of ? miles in June. Keeping my fingers crossed!
